Environmental sustainability
We wanted to dedicate a few more lines to this subject in order to explain to you, in a simple and specific way, what our commitment to environmental protection consists of.
Since 1997 our company has been producing according to the integrated production method, which aims at the minimum and rational use of phytosanitary products, favouring agronomic and biological defence techniques.
Over the years we have been adapting our cultivation method according to recent scientific discoveries and technological innovations.
Examples of agronomic practices used by us are: green manure of plant species enriching the soil structure, organic fertilization and mowing of weeds in the sub-row with consequent mulching using freshly cut grass. This has allowed us not to use chemical herbicides.
We perfect the phytosanitary control by using products with zero environmental impact such as zeolite and biological antagonists such as Bacillus thuringiensis, against insects harmful to the vine, and Ampelomyces quisqualis against powdery mildew. We use sexual confusion to defend ourselves against moth and moth damage.
By shifting our attention to the cellar, we limit CO2 emissions by using only 100% recyclable packaging (glass, cork and paper) for our wines.
Every year we study, design and implement new solutions to reduce the environmental impact of our processes while at the same time committing ourselves to always increase the quality of our products.
