Our History

Between memory and future

Our history as winegrowers began in 1919, when our great-great-grandfather, Negro Carlo was Antonio, bought the land on which Poderi Roccanera stands today : he chose San Pietro di Cossano Belbo, a commune situated in the evocative setting of the Langhe, a UNESCO heritage site.

After the Second World War the company expanded and the reins passed to his grandfather Carlo Negro who managed it until the end of the Seventies, when his son Renato took over.

The wine has always been produced by our family to be consumed by us enriching our daily life and special moments.  It is since 2003, thanks to an idea of our brothers-in-law Tiziana and Pasqualino Negro, that we decided to start selling our wine to cheer your days and festive occasions too.

Since 2018, the young Alessandro and Asia Negro have also joined the company.  Although they are linked to family traditions, they bring innovative ideas and projects on a daily basis.

On the occasion of the 2019 harvest we decided to celebrate the centenary of the birth of our farm presenting a limited edition dedicated to this special event.

All our 2019 produced wines will have the icon of the 100th years anniversary on the label, to represent a celebrative moment of the histry of our family made up by passion and hard work.

A true exclusive and in limited edition collector’s item!
